Flower crowns are out and it looks like there’s a new crown in town!
Chelsea Shiels, a 27-year-old florist from Melbourne, Australia, came up with an idea to create her own version of “flower” crowns made of seashells, charms and jewels. She had been selling them on her Etsy shop Chelsea’s Flower Crowns. She gained more than 80,000 followers on Instagram from posting images of her exquisite handmade creations.
“I’ve always wanted to be Ariel, under the sea. I’m a real beach bum. That was where my obsession with the sea and shells came from.” Chelsea stated in an interview.
She grew her confidence as the mermaid trend kept going, and since last year, she finally put up her mermaid crowns on sale and ready for the world.
“I never have a vision in my head before I start.” Her inspiration comes from the different shells she uses and it usually just comes to her as she makes it. She puts her all into making each headpiece making it one-of-a-kind.
