“We are all activists every day that we make a purchase. We vote daily with our credit cards; we demonstrate with our dollars.” / Meryl Streep

Meryl Streep is a living legend, a constant chameleon and an amazing actress. We’ve seen her transforming herself into women from all walks of life, even returning from the dead and snorting orchids. Streep claims stepping in to other people’s shoes is her drug of choice; the last pair she wore belonged to the 1900s women’s rights icon Emmeline Pankhurs, who she plays in upcoming movie Suffragette. In her private life, activism is no act. Streep is an outspoken feminist and went green way before it was in vogue, fighting for environmental food awareness since the late 1980’s. Streep is also fond of making sustainable style statements by reusing her gala gowns , probably to the dismay of her icy editrix alter ego, Miranda Priestley. A note to self for this season’s upcoming celebrations.
