Katy Perry RETURNS with Never Really Over!

Nearly after two years, Katy Perry is back to reclaim her throne as the queen of pop.

Katy Perry is really far from over as she returns with her new banger.

Last Friday, Katy released her newest single titled “Never Really Over” and everyone loved the song. It sounds similar to the brand of music Carly Rae Jepsen released but the Katy flavor is there and you will definitely know that when she creates songs like this, you know that a hit is coming.

Katy has 9 #1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 under her belt, and 5 from them are all from the same album.

Never Really Over also came along with a music video which features Katy on a 70’s retreat camp, with her hippie friends.  It feature’s Katy, letting go of everything that caused her to be sad and traumatized, as seen on her lyrics: “Two years and just like that / My head still takes me back / Thought it was done, but I / Guess it’s never really over”.

The music video is full of symbolisms and metaphors, together with colorful visuals and ear-gasmic song, it’s a total package.

This post-breakup song is about her on-off relationship with Orlando, which is evident, going back in 2016 when they started dating, then broke up in 2017. Then they got back together in 2018 then boom, they are now engaged.

Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry’s relationship was a rollercoaster. The year 2016 is when they started dating, then in 2018 they broke up, and now in 2019 they are engaged.

The song is a hit in the US, sitting at #3 on the iTunes charts and became #1 in over 40 countries worldwide. As far as pop is concerned, fans are trying their best to put it back at the top, since the dominating genre of music nowadays are more of a hip-hop, trap, rap and most of them are from male artists. Many are seeing Katy as the way to break the male domination in the charts and once again, make pop music alive.

Katy Perry is known for being a hit-maker, and now she has a promising single, that with the right promotion and strategy, will sure become her 10th #1.

Over-all this is the Katy Perry brand of music we all loved. Sure, Witness brought powerful songs but people didn’t like the idea of hers, being in the ‘woke’ phase, though Katy delivered good points during the time. One thing’s for sure, her creativity and musicianship will forever go down in history as one of the greats, and her impact in the music industry will never be easily forgotten. Guess it’s never really over.

Katy will be forever a pop icon: from her music, down to her looks, she truly is an inspiration, especially for the upcoming artists out there.
